Default Winter snow here I come

    Hi all!
I’m Caitlin and I will be travelling to Belgrade from sunny Australia for the third time this year from Dec to Feb. This will be my second winter in Belgrade and I cannot wait for the snow!

I’m visiting Serbia to be with my boyfriend and I’m looking forward to taking an intensive language course and any other courses I come across. I’m open to suggestions for possible courses in English in cooking or anything fun and interesting...

I can’t believe I only just found this club... hope to meet you all at a quiz night!

    Caitlin

well there is no so much snow in Belgrade, never, you should go to Bosnia, to see the REAL snow and the mountains, if you like winter sports....
at the moment is -2, like humid, cold, and it is OK, as there is no wind, but normaly is windy, and then it is slippery!!

Hi Caitlin, nice to meet you!

Snow is due any day now. Friend's parents are sniffing the air and saying they can "smell" it, so it is a sure sign. Might be next week even but I'm pretty sure it will be white by the time you arrive. (I've never been to Bosnia and seen the snow there, but being an Aussie myself, even a few centimeters of the white stuff on the ground is pretty exciting!)

There are a number of different language courses available if you search back over the threads here on the forum. Here is one http://www.belgradefvc.com/showthrea...light=language, but I think you will find a number of others.

And a private teacher that many of us can recommend is Ivana

What part of Aussie do you hark from?

    Cheers

    Hi Philo!
I'm from Sydney, how about you?
I was in Belgrade in Feb and managed to see a glimpse of snow and the cold... According to my partner who is in Belgrade, he believes that it is going to be the worst winter in 20 years (although i'm not quite sure how he knows this)... all i can say is that i have stocked up on winter clothes which being summer now are very cheap
You're completely right as an aussie seeing snow is pretty exciting
Thank you for the links, I have spoken to Azbukum, it sounds like a fantastic school...thank you for your help!

Not far from you - the Hunter Valley - so, about 90 minutes north.
Great news that you have made contact with Azbukum. I've heard good things about them. Please do post your experiences on the forum once you've been.
Looking forward to meeting you when you arrive

Azbukum is GREAT!!! I went thru a 2 week intensive thru them and it helps me severely. They are the best and I've been through a couple of courses now thru different schools/groups. Ivana is an amazing tutor, too!! If she can squeeze you into her schedule she's definitely the best way!!! But if you want to just make it easy and sure-fire... Azbukum is the way to go. I know the owner and she does everything possible to make sure every student is getting what they need to learn. The teachers are great, too!!!

Welcome to the forum!!! And we look forward to seeing you when you arrive!!

    Cheers,
    Kiki
