Hi, we have just moved here with our two kids and need now a nanny to take care of them full time, should speak a little bit of english, but does'nt have to be fluent. The most important is that she/he really loves taking care of small kids. I would be greatful for any advice how to find one.

Thank you very much, Gerold

Hello and welcome Gerold.

Choosing a nanny is a tricky business anywhere.

Make sure you follow the advise of books like "Protecting the Gift (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0440509009?)" and "The Gift of Fear (http://www.amazon.com/Gift-Fear-Gavin-Becker/dp/0440508835)", both of which have brilliant advice on how to choose a baby-sitter/nanny.

I have never heard anything less than great stories about nannies here.

I am hoping one of the resident parents can help you with specific places to look.

Hi- maybe you found a nanny by now...anyway, I don't know about nannies but when we were here last time I found a vrtic for my daughter and we love it (she will go again when we come this time). It is "Funny" on Brace Jugovic, and they have a website:
