I'm seriously starting to get annoyed at how many people ask me for my astrological sign - not out of some kind of circuitous attempt at flirting, but as a serious attempt at gleening actual information about me.

The next question is always "what's your rising sign?". I don't even know what the fuck that is (nor do I care to).

People's capacity, in this culture, to believe downright stupid shit is phenomenal - from obtuse conspiracy theories to daft health superstitions to all manner of hocus-pocus.
