View Full Version : Meditation class
Hi all!
I started doing meditation last autumn and have convinced my cousin to try it. I'm wondering if anyone of you know a good place to go to in Belgrade? I'm still in Sweden so no chance for me to check and my cousin (who is in BG) is afraid to get to someone who's not serious (plenty of them in BG)
If anyone has a good tip that would be great. Area preferred is Vracar.
Take care all!

Hi all!

Hi Maja,
There is a very serious Vipassana group that practices in Dorcol.
I met them whilst looking for a temple or pagoda or group meditation myself.
Apart from them, I don't know of any mediation places or groups.
One Buddhist monk friend of mine (a Serb who lives in Korea) is setting up a zen centre and retreat in Belgrade next autumn.
Maybe the best thing for now is to give your cousin some guided meditation CDs, DVDs or books? I have loads of them and they might be perfect for a beginner?
Hi Jonathan!
Thank you very much for the tip, I'll forward it to my cousin. Do you happen to have any contact info to the Vipassana center? I searched google but found nothing.
Yeah I'll send her some CDs but as she has a 1-year old it'll be hard to do meditation at home =)
Thanks anyway and I'll tell her to look out for the Zen centre.
Cheers

Hi Maja,
I can give you (or your cousin) loads of material in MP3 or movie format. She can then listen to it in the park on her iPod or similar.
I will ask the Vipassana people if they are able to help her and Private Message you their details.
