Fascist vs anti-fascists in Belgrade
I have notice that there has been an increase in the a mount of both neo-fascist and anti-fascist graffiti in Belgrade over the last few months.
It seems the battle is not just taking place on the walls of city, but fascists groups are actively hunting in packs, looking for “might be active anti-fascists” and beatng them up.
From B92:
Anti-fascists attacked in BelgradeBELGRADE — The Belgrade Anti-Fascist Initiative says that a group of some 15 Neo-Nazis attacked three anti-fascists on Tuesday night in Belgrade, near the Odeon cinema.
“This attack is just one of many Neo-Nazi actions that have been happening in recent days in Belgrade,” according to the anti-fascist non-governmental organization.
“All indicators would suggest that this is a team that is a product of a coordinated action between registered fascist organizations like Obraz and illegal neo-Nazi groups like Nacionalni Stroj (National Formations), or Krv i Čast (Blood and Honor),” the NGO stated.
…This is happening in tandem with a public terror campaign where fascist groups are attacking all who look like they might be active anti-fascists.
“It is unacceptable that someone in Serbia today is looking at the Nazis from World War II as their role models, and we will not tolerate the actions of neo-Nazi groups in our city,” the NGO stressed in its statement.
I have heard reports that these Neo-nazis attacked a man and his pregnant wife in Skadarlija street last week.
I would dearly love the police to actually do something about these thugs.

I wonder if the islamofascists who have repeatedly sought to undermine the stability of European societies for generations will finally be held to account by the so called Anti-fascist leaugue?
You see, by calling yourself the anti-fascist league you invite us to believe that those you oppose are necessarily fascists. Well I don’t like being coralled like that. I can decide for myself who the fascists are and it seems to me the ‘anti-fascists’ are just a bunch of thugs who hate any kind of national pride and solidarity.
I’ve been to Belgrade several times and spent months in the city on my own and nobody every attacked me. People were mildly curious as to who I was and what I had come for but there was little hostility considering I am from a nation UK which was responsible for atrocities in Serbia and whose press had routinely vilified and hounded the Serbs with lies and half truths and one sided reporting. There was an still is a total lack of any acknowledgement that Serbs suffered, died or were driven from their homes. There remains a steady drip of anti-Serb propaganda which dredges the news trough for dirty stories on Serbs whilst portraying their erstwhile enemies as pure as the driven snow.
The whole thing would be laughable if it weren’t so damaging to a nation who has been our allies in two world wars and saved hundreds of our airmen and thousands of Jews. Maybe the resentment of some young Serbs is the price we pay for lies and unreported atrocities against their mothers and fathers. Maybe the continuing double standard of giving away Kosovo to Albanians yet denying Serbs in Bosnia their right to self determinaton in Republika Srpska.
The double standard is glaring and despicable. I say, lay off Serbia and start looking at the real fascists in Europe…..ISLAMOFASCISTS.
